منذ عام 2011، لجأ مئات آلاف الطلاب السوريين المتأثرين بالحرب والنزوح وتعطّل التعليم إلى التعليم العالي المعتمد عن بُعد كطوق نجاة. أكمل أكثر من 20,000 طالب سوري برامج أكاديمية معترف بها دولياً عبر التعلّم عن بُعد المجاني، ليصبح أحد أهم المسارات التعليمية المتاحة للمجتمع السوري حول العالم. Since 2011, hundreds of thousands of Syrian students affected by war, displacement, and disrupted education systems have turned to accredited online higher education as a lifeline. More than 20,000 Syrian students have completed internationally recognized degree programs through tuition-free distance learning — one of the most significant educational pathways available to the Syrian community worldwide.
لكن هؤلاء الخريجين، رغم إتمامهم برامج أكاديمية معترف بها دولياً، يواجهون داخل سوريا فجوة جوهرية: غياب إطار رسمي للاعتراف بالشهادات عن بُعد يتركهم غير قادرين على متابعة الدراسات العليا أو الوصول إلى مواقع مهنية تليق بمؤهلاتهم. While these graduates have successfully completed internationally recognized academic programs, those living inside Syria face a critical gap: the absence of a formal recognition framework for online degrees leaves them unable to pursue postgraduate studies or access professional positions commensurate with their qualifications.
مبادرة النهوض بالخريجين السوريين (SGAI)، بقيادة الهيئة السورية العليا للطلاب (SSAS)، تسدّ هذه الفجوة عبر خمسة مكوّنات متكاملة: سجل الخريجين، التطوير المهني، شراكات التوظيف، مسارات الدراسات العليا، والقيادة المجتمعية. ومع دخول سوريا مرحلة إعادة إعمار محورية، تحوّل هذه المبادرة سنوات من الاستثمار التعليمي إلى أثر اقتصادي واجتماعي ملموس — في اللحظة التي تحتاجها سوريا أكثر من أي وقت مضى. SGAI, led by SSAS, bridges this gap through five integrated components: a graduate registry, career development, employer partnerships, postgraduate pathways, and community leadership. With Syria entering a pivotal phase of reconstruction, this initiative transforms years of educational investment into measurable economic and social impact — at precisely the moment Syria needs it most.

هذه الفجوة لا تطال الخريجين المقيمين خارج سوريا — إذ تحظى شهاداتهم بالاعتراف في بلدان إقامتهم. المشكلة محصورة بالخريجين داخل سوريا، حيث لا يوجد إطار قانوني للشهادات الجامعية عن بُعد. من دون تدخّل، تخاطر سوريا بخسارة مهارات آلاف من أكثر مواطنيها تعليماً في لحظة الحاجة الوطنية الأكبر. This gap does not affect graduates living abroad — their degrees are recognized in their countries of residence. The problem is confined to graduates inside Syria, where no legal framework exists for online higher education credentials. Without intervention, Syria risks losing the skills of thousands of its most educated citizens at the moment of greatest national need.
